Mega G vs. Giant Octopus

George squeals with delight whenever his giant musical octopus is within reach. The moment G turned 6 months, dad started teaching him how to make udon.  Dad, haven't you heard about child labor laws??  G, if a monkey can do it, you can do it!

Saturday was B day!

B is for....


BIRTHDAY!  Happy birthday dad!  Little G danced all day on dad to celebrate his birthday.

BLOOMING BLOSSOMS.  After checking out the cherry blossoms (and being told we cannot search for holes in our eyelids on the grass [nap]) we took a break and played in the green grass.  George especially enjoyed running his fingers through the blades and giggling with dad.

BROOKLYN BOTANICAL gardens.  George gave granddad a lesson in botany. He pointed out all of the edibles in the garden.

Triple strike ... Turkey!

Unfortunately there were no turkies at the Gutter (though there were lots of strikes!), but there was a grand sendoff to our two friends shipping off to Turkey.  We'll miss you M&M!

G and mom have been enjoying the lovely spring weather.  Little G kicks up a storm and tests his arm span on passers-by.  I see many long Brooklyn walks in G's future...

Having a ball

Baby George is having a ball as he is learning to babble!  Another gabber with the last name of Babcock?  Well, his name is George Allen Babcock, so he is a GABber!

Bring home that bacon!

Little G enjoys a big brunch at Babcock's Family Restaurant.  He asks that we repeat the experience, with bacon, in a couple of weeks when he starts solids.

Like a beatnik, but worse.  Martin, orange you glad you joined G for citrus time in Central Park?  Little G tried to use the rule "I licked it, so it's mine."  Good effort, but that game didn't work with us.

George Burns Easter

Does today's blog entry suggest that our little firecracker is a pyromaniac?  Or is it just a reference to the late (and great) comic?  Well, intrepid readers, it's neither.  We traveled this weekend to the Burns' household in DC and visited with my sister and her family.  We were fed well, talked late in the evening, and had a lovely time.  G decided it would be fun to have his picture taken with lots of people; he also wanted to show off his new driving skills.
