Holding steady

George is finally feeling better.  He's super smiley and very occasionally we get a giggle out of the wee one. When he cries we can usually (usually...) get him to stop in under 10 minutes.  I tried to get a shot of him smiling but when he realized that the camera had a really nifty flashy light he was transfixed in the pose pictured below.

In other baby news, George is grabbing and holding things like a champ--especially long hair, shirt sleeves, bra straps, and his yellow ring.  He can clasp his hands together and likes to play with his toes (though he hasn't put them in his mouth... yet).  He is drooltastic and enjoys slobbering all over anything he can pull to his mouth.  He somehow managed to put a hickey on my arm the other day; talk about a good latch!  According to our scale he is now up to 12 lbs which means that he's closing in on Ernie but still has a few pounds to go before he catches up to Fionn.  Fionn plans to spend the next few months gloating about his heavyweight title and may even pack on a few more pounds as the vet has given us the okay to give our furry buddies dry food to help them sleep through the night.
